The Two Whos

“You remember the Wizard of Oz?”  Cece asked.

Physicist Yun said: “What?  Do you mean the black hole in which  everything just happens magically?” For sure, all Yun knows is in terms of black hole, and electrons and photons.

Well, once Dorothy  landed in Munchkin Land,  she  followed the yellow brick road  and had to trust people and friends she met along the way….or discern that she did not trust them…to help her get to see the Great Wizard of  OZ…..the big …the almighty… and powerful OZ.  It turns out that there is a little wizened old man back behind the curtain who created elaborate magic tricks to make himself  look great.  The people of OZ thought  that The Great OZ was  the only one who could  solve their problems.  He hid himself  away and is never seen….that is until Dorothy finds him out!

Well, Cece thinks that  SEO is like the Great OZ who solves your problems, and Yun thinks it is like a black hole that we drop our problems into!  We are never sure  how the magic tricks are pulled off or if we have been granted our requests. …or if our problem has been  solved.  But we always can hope it will work out like magic. “Poof!  Now you see it, now you don’t”

So, we research and collect and download plug-ins, type in keywords, link with associated sites, we are everywhere literally not knowing where all these are going to  lead us.  We try this or that to get many audiences with the Great OZ who is Cyberspace …with its multi- magical  powers in its spiders and bots and crawlers……what elaborate magic!

The SEO  has worked somehow, with some help from friends (thank you for recommending this site to your friends).  After launching the site for 10 days , we have over 130 readers, and about 1000 pages viewed! We even have 30 RSS whatever that means (followers?)  However, we realize, like Dorothy, that we need to solve our own problems of SEO.   The  Great OZ and the black hole magic is not going to do it all the way…. We must understand the magic.  But how?  More reading, trying, digging, and shamelessly begging….  Cece and Yun have not given up!

How many times in our own lives do we think that magic will solve our problems?  We wish we could see behind the curtain.  We  wish we could consult The Great OZ at times… in order to predict the future…me…my predicted recovery from shoulder surgery, another person perhaps to  predict the  recovery and  the care and healing of a child……another to predict the effect of emotional abuse and use of force on two little boys….but much of the effects of these things are in our own hands…hard work, proper treatment and especially time…the saying time heals all wounds, I think is mostly true…but it also takes hard work on our parts too! We randomly shoot some darts…or perhaps we shoot some half-educated darts…. and hope to hit the bulls eye.  You see, besides working hard, we must also work smart with clarity and practice…..
